Save the date! On Monday, October 28th we’re thrilled to host our Get to Know Day 2024, following the success of the two previous events – because as everyone knows, “all good things come in threes”!
For the 3rd time we extend a warm invitation to students of IT/computer science in Dresden who are eager to explore the world of operating system engineering, open-source and security software. Explore the manyfold career opportunities as an operating system engineer that can lead you to working in industries such as automotive and avionics, but also high-security government agencies.
Founded more than a decade ago by our CEO Michael Hohmuth and our CTO Adam Lackorzynski as a spin-off from TU Dresden, Kernkonzept has since been instrumental in developing the open-source software L4Re into one of the most secure operating systems on the market. It is the first and only open-source software that is approved for use up to GERMAN GEHEIM level by the BSI.
Our team of software engineers is young, very focused and constantly growing. We are always on the lookout for individuals who are passionate about deep-delving into computer architecture and low-level software programming. (Have a look at our Career Page!)

Get to Know Day 2024 Agenda
We have planned an engaging afternoon for our guests: Dr. Michael Hohmuth, our CEO, will extend a warm welcome, while our CTO, Adam Lackorzynski, will share insights into working and/or studying with Kernkonzept:
