If you are an advanced computer science student in Dresden excited about low-level programming, computer architecture, and open-source systems, this is your event. You want to know how operating systems are built to provide security in high-stakes environments, like autonomous cars or avionics? Then we should talk!
Meet our team
Kernkonzept was founded over a decade ago as a spin-off right out of TU Dresden by fellow microkernel enthusiasts Michael Hohmuth, Adam Lackorzynski, and Alex Warg. Today, we are still an independent company based in Dresden, led by engineers and growing sustainably. Instead of corporate bureaucracy, you will find a highly focused team of developers who love clean code and deep tech (and cycling, B-movies, heavy-metal concerts…).
Our core project is the L4Re Operating System Framework: open-source, highly secure, and based on a microkernel architecture designed to isolate critical applications. Working with us means your code actually matters, whether it’s optimizing a driver or securing a system foundation.
Since we are a compact, owner-operated team, you’ll work directly alongside the experts (including our founders). It’s the perfect environment to level up your engineering skills.
